YNC is happy to place the spotlight on Denise Templeton
Please meet Denise Templeton, Caregiver/Care Companion for YNC. Denise will be celebrating her 4 year anniversary with our organization in the coming months. Prior to working for Your Neighborhood Connection, Denise worked as a nursing assistant and for a private individual delivering home care services. Denise’s daughter saw that YNC was hiring and encouraged Denise to apply, and as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Denise works with a compassionate heart and enjoys making a difference in the lives of those she serves. Denise takes pride in connecting with her clients as she builds a working relationship. She likes to think of her clients as “friends or Buddies”, while still keeping professional boundaries. Denise expressed “I see firsthand how my visits impact my clients and how appreciative they are of my help and companionship”. YNC recently completed a client survey and this is what one client had to say about Denise. “I am very content with the service. My caregiver is very competent and accommodating. Denise is very comfortable to be with”.
Denise was asked why she likes working for YNC. “I like the flexibility of my work schedule and my personal schedule. It is also nice to be able to call the office with my questions, office staff is always able to help and they want to help. Before I take on a new client, the office gives me detailed information to help me be successful in delivering care”.
Denise was asked about her favorite part of job. “My clients are the favorite part of my job, they bring me so much joy as I hope I bring them”.
Denise was asked what she is most proud. Without hesitation Denise replied, “I am proud to be married to my husband for the past 41 years and raising 3 children that I love dearly. I am also very proud of the person I am today”.
When Denise is not working you will find her playing memory games on her phone, taking care of her 3 dogs and spending time with her husband, children and son-in-law.
