YNC is happy to place the spotlight on Carole Martin.
Please meet Carole Martin, Service Care Representative for YNC. Carole started working for Your Neighborhood Connection in 2016 as a caregiver and moved into her current position in 2020. Carole has worked in home care since 2012, this experience affords her the knowledge needed to assist those seeking care services.
When Carole was asked why she chose YNC, Carole states “I chose YNC because it is close to my own neighborhood, and I like the small town, personal feel of the people here. I enjoy my current position as Service Care Representative because of the amazing people I get to know on a daily basis”. Carole recalls “One of my most satisfying experiences was celebrating the memory of a client who spent his entire life in his own home. YNC was able to help provide that for him, and he kept his vow: “When I leave home it will be feet first!” His zest for life has a place in my heart”.
When Carole was asked what her favorite part of her work is, Carole explained “My favorite part of work is introducing people to our services and working to find how our offerings meet a current need for independence. I am witness to lots of love and generosity as people explore our services with family members”. Carole’s biggest strength is her ability to listen to others with compassion and try to understand each person’s varied life experience.
When Carole is not working you will find her reading memoirs, attending a yoga class and cooking for family events. Carole loves listening to her four adult children talk about their lives and aspirations. Carole also enjoys spending time in nature with her husband who is a plant and reptile expert.
